Humana GearSync App Reviews
Works fine on iMac
Ive downloaded the software unto my iMac that is running 10.7.5. And, it is running fine.
Works great
Use this on Mountain Lion daily without problem! So excited to have one less reason to use a PC. Works exactly like the PC version.
So far my computer is slow since Ive installed this app. I had an additional problem with unregistering & reregistering my pedometer.... When I click the link here for Humana Gearsync support, it takes me to the HumanaFit website, but they will not help. They tell me I have to contact Humana & that it must be my pedometer. I rated a 3 becuase it did work one time, but right now its useless
I was using an earlier version of Snow Leopard on my iMac and GearSync worked fine but the most recet upgrade killed it (Snow Leopard 10.6.8). The pedometer and Garmin will not show up at all. They work fine on the PC at work. Ive tried different USB cables and two different Macs. Still not working. Will upgrading to Mountain Lion solve this problem? Please help if you can.
Wont register my device no matter what browser I try and the GearSync crashes every single time I try to connect my pedometer G1 via USB. Full of BUGS. Please fix HUMANA!!! I need this device to work, for health and for points towards my insurance.
what can I say, I had low expectations and even they got disappointed… after trying to set that thing up multiple times ( no I am not an idiot, Ive lauched one or the other app before), I would suggest that Humanas Chinese IT office works on that again :( … disappointing
This thing is really poor, crashes, and is unreliable. A week hasn’t gone by ithout a problem with this or with its attendany Humana website. I only use it for my workplace fat-boy plan.
Have gotten two of these chinese made pedometers and neither one of them uploadable on my Mac. I give up. May try another insurance company next year with gadgets that hopefully work.
Having no problems syncing my info to the Humana Vitality website. Using Yosemite 10.10.3 on a 7 year old iMac, a 6 year ol MacBook Pro and a 4 year old MacBook Pro.
No luck getting this device to register. The software only provides two buttons (‘Copy Serial number’ and ‘Finish Registration’), but clicking either button causes the program to disappear which I’m interpretting as quitting (or crashing?) And Humana’s website is quite bad and no help at all. So much for using this device.
I got my pedomenter last week and had to call Humana to get help getting it registered. Once registered, it worked fine for 3 days. I was sgining into my Humana account and then plugging in the pedometer to my computer. A little window would appear and it indicated the data was transferring. Yesterday, I logged in to the Humana site, but when I plugged the device into my computer, it would not download the date -acted like there was nothing plugged in. So I tried again this morning, thinking maybe this was a temporary issue - but no luck. Of course, being a Saturday, no one at Humana to help. I finally looked at the application in the app store. It clearly indicated it was loaded on my computer, so I plugged my device into my computer and wa-la - the little window appeared and the data transferred! Go figure! So if you are having trouble getting your data to transfer, try pulling up the app in the app store and then plugging in your device. Doing so also pulls up your Humana account and you can see that the data has transferred properly.
I agree with the folks who have had probelms. I have downloaded it multiple times. It was not working so I reset it and removed the battery. Had to input all the time and step length criteria all over again. That had worked before. For yesterday the readout on the device says 12,199 steps. The computer gets 2,726. So today I leave it on the desk, have not used it. Picked it up once to check on the steps from yesterday. It has reported to the computer 2,725 steps. If it were human, I would put it on medication. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!
Received my 2.0 humana gear free for doing my part in trying to keep healthy and not use the insurance that Humana fleeces from my pay check every month. What a JOKE! This Humana Gear is just as awful as their insurance. Wish my company would CHANGE INSURANCE PLANS!
